I-10 MOBILE RIVER BRIDGE TRAVEL AND TOLL STUDY TO BEGIN NEXT WEEK

Mobile, Ala. – The Alabama Department of Transportation will conduct a travel and toll study for the proposed I-10 Mobile River Bridge and Bayway Widening project beginning Monday, April 18, 2016.

The purpose of this study is to obtain the preferences of drivers, who travel across the Mobile River, through the utilization of travel surveys. ALDOT will distribute in-person surveys, targeted exclusively to truckers, at various truck stops located along I-10 on Monday, April 18. Postcards providing a link to the survey will also be mailed to Mobile and Baldwin county residents.

The data collected through this effort will be used solely for study purposes. No decision has been made regarding funding of the proposed I-10 Mobile River Bridge and Bayway Widening project. The project is currently in the environmental and preliminary engineering design phase.

Please submit all questions regarding the travel and toll study to mrbtravel@rsginc.com.
